Beneficial Plants?

Someone was talking about how some plants can brake down the frog waste better than others and I'm just trying to figure out which ones would be the best to get. And does the moss and other substrate brake down the waste too and what kind is the best ? It's all going in 20gl longs. With a 30 T5 HO light.
