Hello
so in my eagerness to breed my frogs i came with the question that i could answer with my other hobby "the fish" but wanted a bit input from the breeders out there.
when i breed my fish i would usually raise a few young ones for myself and get rid of the rest. the ones i keep i will further down breed (knowing that they are siblings about genetics) keep in mind 95% of my fish stock is wild caught so their young ones are F1 not so inbreed as the fish already in the hobby.
Now how does it work when it comes to the frogs? my understanding is that a lot of the frogs in the hobby have been here for a long time and thats why having the lines and origin is so important when buying/selling. would it be safe to say that raising young ones from sibling frogs and letting then breed for only one more generations be okay with those frogs by not having hopefully any generic issues?
and another question when and how does one as a breeder creates its own blood line?
