Curious re pumilio genus classification
#1
Quick question: I can tell from the most up-to-date information here and elsewhere that pumilio are in the genus Oophaga. However, when I do a quick Google search, there's a lot of mentions of pumilio under Dendrobates. Were they once classified that way and were moved, maybe after DNA testing a la azureus? Thanks.

Yes, pumilio used to be under 'Dendrobates'. Not sure what the year was for the change. You know those crazy taxonomists!

The change was fairly recent (last 5 years or so) if I recall correctly. I remember most darts were classified as Dendrobates when I first entered the hobby and I've only been in the hobby 10 years or so.
