I like to use these little round screen vents in my lids. I found them while looking for materials to build tarantula enclosures for my wife's "babies"!
They come in two sizes (2"+1"). Holes can easily be cut in Lexan with a standard hole saw. They have aluminum tabs that are bent over to secure them. I just cut off the tabs and glue them into place with silicone.
They are available online through Jamiestarantulas.com
She also sells the clear plastic glue on hinges.
I hope this information can be helpful to someone!
Mike
