Looking For Film Cans in Bulk
#1
I'm looking for more film cans in bulk, up to 1000. I can offer trades.

Rich
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

Hey Rich

I contacted a Camera shop here in town and have not heard back. I plan to go to the store this week to talk to them in person about getting or selling me film canisters. Can't believe how hard they have gotten to find, hopefully they still do a lot of processing of standard film. Can let you know what I find out if you want? I plan to if possible get as many as they will sell or give me.

Yes, please let me know what they say. They are still out there, but everyone is asking for them.

I approached my local camera club where there are a few purists who still use 35mm film - so they now supply me with them.

After almost ten years of using them (for frogs), I know pretty much all the 'tricks' of acquiring them. I just don't like asking 200 times or places if I can have spare cans. Thanks guys.

You can get actual film canisters in bulk at places that sell supplies for making model rockets.

You can also get the little bottles like pharmacies use for Rx's on the internet really cheaply.

Rich is doing the same thing that I like to do.....

Try to get someone to do all the gathering for me and just pay them or trade them for a big sack full.

It's so tedious to "make the rounds" and collect...then you get the stink eye from some idiot employees when you "bug" them / ask them for cans ect.

Well I have 2 places going to save them for me.....I still have one to check with though. I have on hand 70 of various colors mostly clear. At each place they said they don't get them very often any more but will hold on to them for me. I have to go to the Kalamazoo Art Institute and see if they are willing to let me put a box or something outside the dark room for containers...Hopefully get a chance to do that this week, if not in person I will call.....Looks like getting large numbers like a 1000 will be awhile.

I dunno Mike....that Geocaching hobby has inflated the price a little. Most lots are a little salty especially when you add in shipping.

I see that now but its been while since I ordered, still it just seems easier to me. I used to contact the sellers and ask for a bulk buy on like 4 or 5 of their 100 lots and usually got a decent price.
