Ranitomeya imitator Intermedius info ?

I was just wondering how many people keep Ranitomeya imitator Intermedius. I'm thinking about getting some as my next frogs, but it will probably be a while. I like to set up a tank and let it grow in before adding frogs. In particular, I was wondering if there is anyone West of the Mississippi that keeps these guys.

From what I read, they are pretty bold and easy to keep thumbs. Why are they so much more expensive than the imitators?
