Is a 12x 12x 18 a good size for a pair of thumbnails? I know bigger is always better.

That's the smaller size vertical tank, I think @ 11 'gallons' size ?

Depending upon who you talk to , you will get two different answers on 'Size".

1. Some will say that 5 gallons per frog is ok.

2. Some (I'm in this category) will say there should be closer to @ 10 gallons per frog.

That said, IMO that is not a 'Good' size for anything other than a temporary tank, a quarantine tank or a 'grow-out' tank - all of which are not permanent housing.
