I really like your cabinet set-up and shelves. Also, that sixth picture on your third post is almost convincing me to start keeping Robertus!

I really don't know anything about them other than they are another morph of D. Tinctorius. What I have always liked about them is the kind of free flowing of all the colors; blue, black, yellow, white.

Thanks! I too really liked the look of Robertus, so I jumped at the chance to get a few when SNDF offered them up. The frog you noted was my original high yellow female and she is paired with a phenomenal high yellow male. I'm very excited about that high yellow grouping, and to see how variable the coloration is from a "like to like" pairing of yellow animals. My other female is low yellow and she is grouped with a high yellow male and another smaller male that looks more like a cobalt.

They are a great frog - quite large and always a conversation starter when new folks are looking at the different morphs. Visitors always go to the high yellow female and comment on how beautiful and big she is. Luckily the 2014 import seems to be doing really well, with multiple people reporting success on the forums. I have about 25 tads in the water and another clutch in the incubator from the high yellow pairing. They seem to be quite prolific like other large tincs when they get going, so I think 2015 should be the year of F1's.

I got rid of the grow out fish tanks because they looked terrible. I moved to small exoterras since I need to sort Lorenzo froglets based on their parents. Here's the new set of display grow outs. I'll likely have some hidden grow outs that won't look as nice.

And some other shots. Here are the True Sips. Probably my boldest frogs. The female went a little wonky the other day and started picking on both males. Glad I had two males in there to distract her.

And here's one of my favorite little plants Peperomia orba - it's a relatively slow grower, but it's a striking specimen plant. I have been trying to plant them in more prominent locations in my vivs. Here's the latest tree trunk viv (my dominant UE/Stewart Lorenzo pairing):

Thanks Phil! It was a fun project. We're happy to be rid of the fogged over fish tanks. The display is much nicer now.

Jim ,it's always an inspiration visiting this thread, thankyou!! Hard to pick out some favourites frogwise because they are pretty much all stunning to both of us, although we both adore those lorenzo kids. A bit special those mate, partially because so few are being bred over there, good work bro. I've allready commented on the set up,but it really is very cool, a total credit to you Jim.....i'm still incredbly envious of the space. I so wish we had double the space to build into maybe one day. Big Grin

Cracking mate !!!!!

Thanks Stu! It is hard to pick favorites, but there's something about Lorenzos Smile. They are fascinating to me, and the more I see color differences between the males and females the more intrigued I get. I guess that's one of the things that really makes them so interesting to me, along with their small size. They just seem like a "weird" tinc.

You can never have too much space . I'm full up now, and in the fall I'll have to figure out what to do when I break up my last remaining Stewart 1.1 and setup 4 non-sibling pair/groups....then I have a dilemma. I like keeping all my frogs out in the open, but my displays will be full up ... so one unlucky pair will have to go under the counter.

I don't know where you keep all your frogs - you're gonna need a bigger house!

Got a new toy from Chris Sherman this week. I've been toying with the idea of putting a 29 gallon on its side and using it as a grow out:

So Chris cooked up a shippable kit with all the vents and rails that I would need for the conversion. All I had to do was cut the doors. So the package showed up, and indeed it was built and packed like a tank:

After some lengthy unwrapping I had a slick set of vents and rails:

This is a really solid kit! I've got a good bit of prep work to do on the rim and I need to cut doors. I'll post some pictures after assembly! Thanks Chris!

Jim,
Good luck with the new toy.
Good laawd that track looks horrible in Macro shots. I will have to "flame polish" it in the future if people are going to take photos.
I assure you that it functions better than those picture look.
Keep up the good work with the Lorenzos and true sips. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for a lineage system.

I am just amazed that none of that glass cracked in the 'mail'. What carrier and method of shipping?
