pumilio tadpole vibration
#1
pumilio tadpoles will vibrate in the brom axil when an adult comes into view. Pretty neat...I've been lucky to see this 3-4 times. I'd love to capture it on HD video. The vibration is pretty intense.

I have seen this a couple times and was surprised at just how violently the tads thrashed about.

I wouldn't used the word 'thrashed'...it's more of a true and controlled vibration.I wonder if it has a frequency / audible.

My pum tank has a brom near the front so that you can see the water line in the axial - i remember seeing the vibrations on the surface when the female was present. At first I thought it was me doing the shaking, but then I saw the tad break the surface. I could not hear anything - although that doesn't mean a noise wasn't being made, as my allergies plug my ears often.
