Actually the pic is supposed to be D. speciosus. The problem is the fact that there are so few pics of an actual speciosus ( most, including the Walls' pics are Bri Bri) to compare/contrast between bri bri and speciosus. You are not the only one who made a minyobates comparison though.

I just ran across that same pic last night and it looked similar to that pic in the OP. Where did you get that frog pic from ?

Yeah , they do look very similar. Size would be a deciding point also . Minyos are generally smaller than pumilio, speciousus larger.
That is not my frog. It is an old pic from Europe.
