I'm considering putting one of the foggers in my tank (with no animals currently), but it seems that there are mixed opinions. If I want to put darts in my tank, should I not plan for a fogger? I already have a waterfall and a misting system.

I've heard:

1. The frogs shouldn't come into contact with the water that is in contact with the fogger.

2. The fogger could shock/kill the frogs if they come into contact with it.

3. The fogger gets extremely hot, possibly melting a container that it is put in.

Thanks for any feedback,

Linsey
Hi Linsey, welcome to the forum!
Our past experience with the ceramic disk foggers is they are junk, for all of the reasons you have listed, and then some.
Most people will use an ultra sonic humidifier, and plumb it into the tank. These are easily found at drug stores, and big box discount stores. Just be sure it says "Ultra Sonic". These are much easier to work with, and you can create some nice effects with them.
