Hey everyone, today I went to the Hamburg PA reptile show and got my first frogs. I purchased them from Heath's frog farm. They didn't have many regular leucomelas so I purchased 3 chocolate leucs. They are currently in quarantine. I'll have some pics soon!
Good for you and 3 is good for your size tank. Very nice !

Tim Heath is definately one of the good guys and sells quality animals. Can't wait to see pics.
I'm just going to let them sit for a while before I disturb them anymore, as they have gone through alot today. I'm so glad I can finally put that I have some frogs in my signature. By the way I learned from the staff there that chocolate leuc eggs and tadpoles are white! I just wanted to put that out there because they said they had been throwing away good eggs because they thought they were bad until they found out about this.
Interesting...honestly I can not even say that I have seen pics of chocolate luecs. I can't wait until you get some posted!
It's not really that big of a difference from regular leucs just the black is brown. By the way thank you everyone for helping me get this thing setup.
Congrats to the happy new frog owner!

Thank you very much! I'll be sure to post some pics later today.
Sorry about the double post, I just wanted to add that I just fed them some dusted fruit flies and all of the frogs loved them! Pics to follow.

Here are the pics !
Good looking frogs Cer!
I think you will really enjoy the leucs.

Be sure the sphagnum is damp enough, for some reason it 'looks' a little
dry in the last picture.
Sure I'll mist it all down today.
Nice looking Leucs !

Just make sure you have some water underneath your false bottom.

Condensation on the sides of the glass

Mist a lot, early on...until you get the hang of "reading" your tank. Better to mist "Too Much"...than not enough.
They aren't in the main tank yet, but the main tank has an inch of water in the drainage layer and condensation on the glass. They should be put in the big tank in a week.
ahh..Gotcha.
