I'm contemplating moving my breeding pair of azureus to a new viv so I can re-do their viv. I have a new viv built so they will only be moved once, but it got me wondering if there was a preferred method for handling the move for a breeding pair (I've moved non-breeding frogs with no issues).
- Move them both at the same time.
- Male first. Wait a week for him to get situated. Move the female.
- Female first. Wait a week. Move the male.
I'm really not worried about the female. She is quite robust and bold, and I don't think she's going to care at all about the move. The male has always been more shy. He's in great condition, just more of a recluse. My inclination was to move him first, but I'm not sure if I am over-thinking this. They are just over 2 years old.

Heh yeah, I move froglets and juvies all the time without issue. Just don't want to mess up the vibe of the only breeding pair I have
No worries Jim, we have a frogger here who has quite a bit of breeding success in sterlite containers while redoing or building vivs. I won't mention his name but will say he doesn't post much.....

Jim... I've always moved my pairs at the same time. They've never missed a beat.
The only thing I would add is that if the frogs have not yet had fecals run this would be the perfect time to run them, before being placed into a brand new viv.
I agree 100%. Will ad also a good time to swab and test for Chytrid.
It is in CB collections, I get PM's on positive tests plus have a friend who tests frogs in QT and has had several positives from big breeders frogs.
It's not widely known because individuals that have frogs that test positive do not disclose their results.
Well I moved the pair today. Within 2 hours they were scaling the background. Within 4 hours the male was calling. Within 8 hours they hit the bower. Lol. Ok so I was overthinking it. Thanks everyone.
