Hello, I am new here. I have been reading the posts about how you can use great stuff for a background and was wondering if anyone out there knew if it could be used in water in a turtle tank for a turtle to climb out on and bask. I was worried about great stuff having some chemical in it that would be bad for the turtle or the fish that is in the tank with him. Any input or ideas are appreciated.

Many have used it under water, with no problems. I'm not sure how long the silicone would hold up to turtle traffic though.
It doesn't bond to the great stuff that well, but if you remove the outer skin of the foam, after it has cured, the silicone will stick a lot better.

oh so when you use great stuff, do you always coat it with the silicone ?
