My tincs (suriname cobalts I believe) are quite shy compared to my auratus frogs. I've had 3 cobalts for a little over a month now, they're about 4 months old. I never see them eat with gusto and they allways run and hide if I approach the viv. In fact I really have to look around the viv to find them, they will often be hiding underneath a pile of moss.
My auratus are the opposite. When feeding them they will actually jump up and strike the deli cup as I am getting ready to shake some flies from it. They associate me with food now and so when I walk near they will actually come to the front of the viv.
I mention this because everything I've read states the opposite; that auratus are timid and tincts are bold.
