Redid the Vanzolinii and Varadero tanks. I just didn't like teh way they looked.

Also managed to get a few more pics of the Benedicta...and it wasn't just their butts as they dove for cover!

Nice shot of the "film can cluster" - simulating a brom.

Rarely see film cans being used thusly, but it's becoming less and less of an "advanced breeder trick" and more common knowledge.

Thanks, its been a bit of my experience that they prefer them in a cluster over just one here or there. My vanzos will usually choose the can in the middle of the pile and work their way out. Their tank was so over grown that I didn't even notice that every can was full of dried out eggs. Damn misting wasn't even getting to them.

Nice shots of the Benedicta. Once a day I find one or two climbing on the sides of the viv. As soon as they notice I see them though they duck for cover. Nice to see you were able to get pics of yours Smile

Could of sworn that I heard calling from the benedicta viv this morning but didn't spot anyone doing it.

Thx for making me miss my bens...let me know when you get offspring

We'll have to do some offspring trading when your bennies and retics start producing (and mine too).

My retics come from a sean stewart import on a european line and the bennies are from understory.

I have been trying really hard the past couple days to get a good calling video of my retics or Uakarii. Both vivs are on the upper shelf of my racks and my darn tripod barely goes high enough. Camera always ends right in line with the black door vent. If they are up even a little bit I can get a good shot of them but seems everytime hes calling he's down just below that damn vent and I can't get a shot of him. That and the house needs to be dead silent for me to even hear them. I have to keep shaking the C. Valley and Vanzolinii vivs to get them to shut up. I can stick my hand in the C. Valley tank and chase them around and it only keeps them quiet for about 10 seconds.....figures. If I was trying to get a video of them they would hide all day.

No calling from Benedicta yet but after a good misting they are all active and one or two individuals seem they want to vocalize but haven't managed yet.

No known eggs from the retics, Female is very responsive to the male. Every time she sees him she goes over and starts petting his back with her foot in a weird little patting motion. He will buzz for a few seconds and then go on his way. He must not be into albinos...lol. I waisted a good 3 hours trying to get the video I have been wanting but failed misserably...even blew my chances with the wife HA!

It drowned in morph out...didn't look spindly but hey, it happens although it was the first time its happened.

My wife has been watching her horribly bratty cousins for the past few weeks. All breeding activity has ceased! I can't wait until these monsters are out of our house.
