I once had a discussion with my friend Bill Love, who in addition to being a skilled old school Herpetoculturist ,has been writing a column in Reptiles magazine and taking extraordinary photos of Herps all over the world for many years now. We discussed the immediate appeal and marketability of whatever animal graced the cover of Reptiles Magazine that month.
Bill surmised that if it were a Red Eyed Tree Frog, a Hogg Island Boa constrictor or even a Mata Mata - that requests and sales for that particular animal would increase greatly, after debuting on the cover that month.
Interestingly enough, I wonder if Rich is getting more inquires for......Grannies.
