One of the things I like to occasionally do, is to put on the ole' headlamp and journey downstairs to peep the frog room late at night, when things are dark and everybody's sleepin' .
With a bright light and a dark background (no other lights), you will be amazed at all the stuff you see:
1. All the fav sleeping spots of the frogs.
2. Plant eating - snails and slugs. Now you 'll know who is to blame for that chewed up selagenela !
3. EGGS. This is a big one, folks, I see so much more egg and egg laying evidence at night. The eggs are so shiny, that they stick out like a neon sign at night, under bright concentrated lamp light.
4. Tads in broms. This one is a little harder. Tads are pretty skittish and dive quickly when woken up, but it is possible.
oh...and I lied in the first sentence above. I don't check the frog room at night occasionally. I do it much more often than occasionally. Heh
