I can spare some small tropical woodlice & may be able to let you have some springtails if needed, let me know if you're having any trouble sourcing these?

Perfect summation of the goal of this hobby - to help the animals.

Simple (I mean that in a good way) and poignant.

I thank you Sir....you've made my day by posting that. Big Grin

Well said & very true, people on here are fantastic, its a very friendly atsmophere on this forum unlike many others both in the states & in the UK. I don't really post on forums much (usually a Lurker) but feel very comfortable on here as everyone is very relaxed on the whole.

Send me your name & address via pm and ill send a culture of bean weevils in the post or i can give them to you in person at the kidderminster show at then end of Nov if that's not too long to wait?

thats why they call these frogs addictive Dani, your not the only one  great start mate!! Couple of silly things, maybe a nice bit of wood diagonal front to back..more climbing frame, and there are no holes where a frog can get where you don't want it to?
Dani you mentioned your not happy with your broms progress, they utilise a different growing method tomost plants, its a strange concept,at first. They are epiphytes in most cases, the roots are only used to anchor them in place, the little vase must be kept with water in.if the base gets too wet then they will rot.you can simply stick them to a background, rather than actually plant them the base can be almost bone dry as long as that vase is water containing they will be happy in the humid environment we use for our frogs.
i so echo what you said about the help given to each other,to benefit our frogs,we have got exactly the same from Phil and the guys here, its what i love most about
phil's site, hope this all helps abit mate,i thought it might be better talking here about the broms even though the Q was elsewhere

it stands for Building Management System, they're usually used to control buildings, we have them everywhere at work in all the council buildings, it is accurate to +/- 2% RH and +/-1 degree C, uses complex equations to calulate heating, cooling, hum,de hum and referances room temp too. uses fans for cooling and dehum also its programmable for seasons and day night setback temp and hum so i can get it as near as dammit to the wild, only real problem with it is an unsightly sensor tube i have to fit (20mm dia 200mm long ) i have used many different ways to controll in the past but they all need many relays to stop parts fighting each other ie cooling and humidifying at the same time sorta defeats each other, also night set back is a real problem i used to end up with three stats, 1 for heating, 1 for cooling reversed through a relay, and 1 for night set back (cooling not required as lighting is off) plus a timer for day/ night lighting the wiring all got a little crazy but if you want it to work right its gotta be worth the trouble

Fascinating, does sound very complex, but as you say always going that extra bit,i'm guessing from your name your an electrician, when you have, mastered this could you please post how it all works and goes together, its not something that will be of much use personally i guess but for show vivs,it sounds the wonderful, that said overal room management could be of great interest, especially the ability to control excess humidity and overal heat,on a personal level,
thanks

i used to be many moons ago lol im now in controls its more specialised than normal day to day sparkying officialy im a heating ventilation senior technician lol im the sucker who keeps wolverhamptons big buildings (schools, venues ect) heated ventilated or cooled lol wen i get chance ill draw up some wiring plans for better controls of vivs and post them on here i see many people getting convinced they need loads of extra stats and other daft things just to get things to work properly and it ends up costing them a fortune lol
