Just in case.....to protect your huge 2,000 word post:
Before hitting "Submit":
1. Always always always, left click on your entire post
2. Make sure ALL words are highlighted in blue
3. Then right click and select "COPY"
That way, your whole post is copied and you can retrieve it if the post has a hiccup or something.
WHEN you are posting to a thread....a particularly active thread, like the current feedback scuffle and there are several of us posting at the same time, you will get a blue text message at the top of your page after you hit submit saying "At least one new post has been made to this topic. You may wish to review your post in light of this."
If you see that tiny blue text on the top of the page.....you MUST scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click "SUBMIT" again.....to have your post entered on to the thread. Some people have been overlooking the need to click submit a second time and then travel off of their post page and then BAM....their 1000 word post is gone !
to recap:
#1 - Always "COPY" your long posts
#2 - Be prepared to have to hit "SUBMIT" at the bottom of the page a second time in the event that someone has just recently posted (within seconds) to the exact thread while you are in the process of replying.
