Try to go to a reptile show. Usually there are plant sellers there.
Locate a local greenhouse or plant selling store nearby where you live. Go there and ask if they have any 'terrarium friendly' plants Be patient and keep an eye on the forums for local hobbyists as well as the classified section and PM selected people on the forums about plants.

We have one local exotics shop that carries viv safe plants but I've had to order online for most of my plants. I would recommend sticking with pilea, peperomia and some of the heartier spike mosses for online purchases. Those tend to hold up better during shipment in my experience. They also propagate easily from cuttings. Either way read up on bare rooting and cleaning plants - I've gotten some really gross hitch hikers in a few shipments (snails, slugs, roaches - with an "s").
I've had good experiences with Josh's and NE Herp plant orders. So if you end up not finding much locally I'd give an online order a go. Good luck.
