Big Change for Black Jungle

Postby rcteem » Sun Feb 08, 2015 7:36 pm

I was so sad to hear this news as I have always wanted to view their greenhouse and retail shop but never got the chance. It has been a pleasure working for this company at trade shows and hope they will have continued success as Michael runs it now and wish noting but best wishes for Richard!!!

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT BY BLACK JUNGLE TERRARIUM SUPPLY!

The owners of Black Jungle are parting ways. After 21 years of innovation within the naturalistic terrarium and vivarium hobby, Richard Revis has decided it’s time to move on to pursue other interests. Michael will continue to operate Black Jungle on a mail order and show/expo level, however the retail showroom and public greenhouse in Turners Falls is planned to be closed by May 31st, 2015.

A series of special events will be held at Black Jungle over the following 4 months to help reduce the plant collection while preparing for this transition. The first big event will be on February 14th, Valentines Day, from 11am until 5pm. We will be offering all live plants at 30% off including many of the hold-back and stock plants from our private collection! Don’t forget to check out the many hold-back adult dart frogs that are currently being offered as well!

This would be a great opportunity to see Richard before he moves to Tennessee later this month and to also have a rare opportunity to acquire certain plants (especially orchids, among others) that may have never been offered to the public! If you cannot make this date, don’t worry - you can pre-schedule a raincheck/special appointment on a later date.

Black Jungle will continue to offer Frogs, Plants, Feeder Fruit Flies and a variety of the more unusual or difficult to find products associated with terrariums and vivariums. Mike will also continue to offer Rainforest Adventure Tours to Central and South America as well.

If you are a local retail customer who frequents our store for the convenience of getting your weekly or monthly fruit flies and supplies, we can make special arrangements to now quickly and inexpensively ship your purchase to your door or local post office for pick up.

Thanks for your continued support and patronage! Watch for more special dates between February and May as our itinerary is confirmed!

What's to wonder? People drift apart. I'm not sure I want to know any more than that.
