I noticed some leg movement not long after they were fully formed.

Has anyone confirmed that what is being called an air/gas bubble actually is? Could it possibly be embryonic fluid?

No confirmation, but charting the size and the onset of the bubbles that are now proving to be merely 'uncommon' in occurrence instead of the originally thought 'rare, I'd say it's a pretty good bet that it's gas caused by excessive protein or some composition of the water. Sometimes the bubbles don't appear until after a few days to even weeks, so that alone would make me rule out 'embryonic fluid'.

I really doubt it's fluid, as my vote.

Bubble tadpole ? Lump ? Just let it be. Feed the tadpole normally. Resist the urge to treat it or fuss with it. 90% of the time it will develop just fine

I agree - let your tadpoles develop and see what happens. I see too many people trying to attain 100% morph rates. We need to think more about tank rearing even non obligates. In my experience, I'll get about a froglet every one or two months from a proven, experienced tinc pair. They still deposit at a rate of two or three clutches a month - or about a 5% morph rate if they take care of everything on their own. Deposit, hatch, transport, feeding.

This is how I raise all my tincs now (except for Lorenzo due to the infrequency of clutches - I do group tank rear them though). I think this is the best way to produce the strongest offspring. Maybe a topic for another thread.
Jim from Austin please contact me if you are willing to trade offspring from:
