Need plant help for a 75 Gallon....
#1
I have a 75 gallon long tank that I will be putting in 6-8 Dendrobates Auratus... so far I have everything ready and waiting for the set up, but I am running into a small problem.... I can not figure out what type of plants to put in the tank... There is going to be the egg crate false bottom, great stuff background a small lazy river out of pvc (cut in 1/2 with rocks in it, so there will not be a lot of water) I have different types of wood picked out for branches and background items. I am trying to keep the tank looking like it is from the Panama area... If anybody has a tank of this size, please let me know what type of plants you used. I am really looking for plants that are not going to "over take" the tank and that are slower growing so that I do not have to bother the frogs often to trim things back...

you will not be bothering the frogs one bit.......cutting back plant growth is something 100% us do.

MORE growth is actually better than slow or no growth.....

Ok well I do agree with that... but I am still so clueless on the type of plants... I am sorry I had all my notes from last year and than when I moved the husband tried to pack up and tossed all my research... and it has been another slow long process....

just go into any local greenhouse or good garden center - even lowes or home depot as a last resort and ask to see their terrarium plants.

Most "terrarium" plants for sale do just fine....no biggie. The worst thing that can happen is that a $3.00 plant doesnt do well or over saturates.
