Temp Tank and Q-tine enclosure for new pumilio
#1
I think a thread on pumilio temp tanks and Q-tine enclosures is in order. A buddy of mine on another forum just got some new pums and he was wondering what a good enclosure size and type, would be.

Anyone want to take a crack at an enclosure, size and design ?

Phil,
I use 10 gallon aquariums for QT containers, paper towels on the bottom for gathering fecals with alot of leaflitter and pothos cuttings.
I also mist daily.

I use 10 gallon tanks too, Beth. I think a mistake, is to use too small of an enclosure - like a plastic shoebox size or even those 190oz tubs. I hate those round tubs.

Being able to open the top with a minimal amount of stress is key, I feel. Ventilation is important. I use the common "Vert kit" design door with screen vent strip.

I use a ton of pothos as cover and because they hold water / humidity so well and are a great easy to grow, tough and disposable plant. Pothos is great plant that can easily exist in large clippings - not need for a pot / dirt. Very important to keep the decor clean and simple.
