I was just given plants from my neighbor and was wondering if anyone has used either of these in a viv. They were both in an aquarium and were totally submersed except for the top of the giant hygro, which had grown out of the top of his tank. He said they would do fine as long as the roots had wet feet. Anyone have any experience with either of these?

here it is a few hours later and the hygro decided it didn't like to be out of water. It's completely wilted already. Think I'll give it back
