Hi ,I've seen people say they use GS for their backgrounds and then cover the GS with GE black silicon II. All I could find is caulk- is this the right stuff ?

It seems caulk would be kind of tough to spread over GS.

Thanks to all who answer this seemingly stupid question.
joeyo900,
you need 100% silicone sealant,
the product some people have been using, is the G.E. Silicone II for doors and windows. It comes in a tube that fits in a caulk gun. When it comes out of the tube, it is the consistancy of toothpaste, and you can spread it by hand. It would be a good idea to wear gloves when you spread this as it can be messy. Work in small sections as the silicone will skin over quickly.

if i can add in, most of it is labeled with "bioseal" an anti mold ingredient, its debated if it's frog or fish safe, thats why i would order some food grade silicone if it were me. Cindy there sells it i might add and is a wonderful person to do business with.
