I'll be getting 4 D.Azureus from Rainforest Designs in early April. I'm hoping to get them breeding in my tank, which is 30Lx12Wx20H (around 32 gallons).
What I'd like from all of you knowledgeable folks is any tips, tricks, or things I should consider when designing my tank. Pictures of your setups for D.Azureus would be awesome! I plan to have a false bottom with a permanent sump and siphon pipe set up. I'll be using the Zoomed 501 filter for this purpose. I'm also going to include a small water feature which will likely be a dripping piece of driftwood.
Any suggestions for plants, hardscape, breeding, etc will be greatly appreciated and taken into consideration when I'm planning.

No Azureus keepers on Dart Den?
hey mike,
besides pumilio, the tinc group has one of the worst reputations for aggression. females especially are aggressive with each other. most people recommend pairs only, or sometimes 2.1 set ups. sometimes the results are dramatic, like one frog drowns the other in a water feature. more often it is more subtle and the dominant frog bullies the other into not eating. if you are aware of this, and plant to try two pairs anyway, you want to establish lots of hides and barriers for territory boundaries.
i don't keep azureus, but i love plants. if you have some specific plant questions, or other specific questions, i'll certainly try to help.

I've read a ton about aggression in Azureus and I think I can solve most of the problems with good tank design. I plan to offer water features on both sides of the tank - a dripping piece of driftwood/pond on the right and a small pool on the left. With a large enough visual barrier in between, I'm hoping both pairs are able to establish a breeding territory.
These are my first frogs, so I will be monitoring behaviour very carefully and I will remove stressed frogs asap.
I decided to go with a 2.2 group because I have heard tales of some pairs that, when placed in a tank together, just don't hit it off. If over time I find that I'd be better off with a 2.1 or a 1.2 or 2 sets of 1.1, I've got no problems selling or trading 'extra' frogs.
