You can find a lot of tanks on newspaper classifieds and craigslist, but most of them dont have lids. Heres a simple solution:go to a local glass shop and have them cut a piece of plexiglass or glass to fit you tank.It cost me $20.00 for a 29 gallon glass lid, so It is much cheaper than those lids they sell at the pet stores.

Lowes or Home Depot can even cut glass cheaply for most 10, 20 or 40 gallon sizes.
Plexiglass is not recommend for lids as it has a habit of warping, and the edges curling up allowing the frogs to escape, not to mention fruit flys.

My plexi glass is one forth an inch thick. Is that thick enough so it wont warp?If its not ill get a glass one then.
Save yourself the time, trouble, and expense, glass is the way to go.

Suggestion- If you spend a little more time and a little more money, you could also have the glass peices cut a little smaller so that you can make custom door(s) so that you do not have to always pull the entire length of glass. Also you could cover the edges so that you are less likely to cut yourself when handling glass.
