I am constructing a 75g viv for some poison dart frogs and I want to add a fogger. I have found a couple different types and don't know what to look for in a fogger. Any suggestions or good products any of you can recommend ?

There has been talk that cheaper "in-tank" disc foggers can cook or shock your frogs if they get too close----this is true. I am putting mine in a plastic bottle---like 16 oz coke bottle size, covering the top w/screen so the frogs can't jump in and punching holes in the side for the fog to 'escape'. Seems to be a good setup---I would never leave the fogger where the frogs can touch it if it heats the water you use.
yes...

"Inside the tank" fogger = BAD

Outside the tank fogger = Good
Philsuma...any way your advice on converting a storebought kid's unit could be put up on this site? It was a wonderful post.
Is it one of those "circular, disc, bubbler" types ? If so....then no.....they are not suitable / safe for our hobby purposes.
Do you have the directions on this board about converting the cool mist humidifiers to the fogger for our vivs???
hmmm...There's a few threads but no actual DIY or Mod thread with pics.

The EASIEST thing I can suggest is to buy a KAZ brand. They require NO mods ! No glue, no cutting, no siliconing, Nothing !

Just take it into a plumbing store and they will literally fetch the pvc fittings ect for you - only a couple dollars. Then it's off the aquarium store or perhaps homedepot or Lowes for black or dark green tubing. Don't use clear tubing - it promotes algae growth,
didn't you have a real good explanation, etc. on a previous board???

uhhhh....nope  ..ya must be thinking of someone else.

you see the pic in the other thread right ? Heck, you saw one in action at my vendor stand at the Maryland IAD show, right ?

The KAZ brand is super easy....literally take it to a plumbing store and ask for a pvc fitting to accommodate a hose and the KAZ diameter tube allows for a snug fit ! No modification !
