Hi! I am planning on setting up my first dart frog tank in my classroom in the fall. I have a 20 gallon long that I can use, but I'll have to have glass cut for the top. There seems to be a lot of conflicting views out there on whether to use a false bottom or not. I was going to put clay balls in the bottom for drainage instead of gravel. I'll have to take the tank home for the summers, so I don't want it too heavy ! What are the pros or cons of false bottoms ? Also, I can't decide if I should put in a waterfall or pond. I mean it would look cool, but the frogs won't use it anyway. Does it serve any other purpose other than looks ? Thanks for your advice.
