With a tank that measures 30x18x24, how much lighting will be required to maintain tropical plants? At first I was thinking 4 24" T-5's. Then I thought that it may be over kill. Would just 2 do the trick?
We recently completed a tank with approximately the same dimensions as yours, and we use the Coralife T-5 Aqualight (2X30") and have been very satisfied with the results.
I think the 4 bulb setup will be a too much for that size tank
Okay, that's what I figured.... I am assuming that 6500K bulbs are what I should be using for optimal plant growth.
plants will grow with anything between 5000k-10,000k. Good luck! Post pics of your set up!
