Hope you like it
This is right side up just without substrate yet, right?

I do like it!

Is all the red stuff around the sides and top a moss?
What you going to put in there? Optical Illusion and all.. Looks like someone in the center Brom. Haha. Is that Moss? I mean, Like regular moss, moss? and if it is.. Is it growing well for ya?

yeah, this is the background standing straight up. Will be for my std lamasi when they are old enough for me to go get them
the moss is star moss, and it seems to do well for me in vivs. I usually only find it growing in gravel, or on cinderblocks or concrete, but it adapts well to viv life.
I like how it has the natural tree look.. Is that what they refer to as Fern Panels? it looks like pieces of tree.. -Buddha

thats cork bark. Sometimes its hard to work with as its curved, and some pieces are much thicker than others, but by cramming plants in the gaps, and filling the other gaps with moss, it makes it look very realistic, and the frogs csan't get behind it
Nice.. -Buddha

the easiest way to do a cork bark background is to smash peatmoss/dirt mix in all the crevices, including behind the cork bark ..... this way there is no open space inside the background. Sounds hard to do but its very simple .

Make sure you wet the peatmoss/dirt mix and cram it in there, dont worry about making a mess, its fun. Once the background is set u can set up a few creeper plants in the background and before you know it all the dirt will be held by an awsome root system. Even better you use very little silicone doing this , less then 1/4 of a tube ( enough to hold the cork ) .

Here are two pictures of 20 gallon tanks, both with same style background.......... this will never fall and in any case if i ever need to take it out it will be easy .

I only used a little silicon to stick the largr pieces on the glass, all the rest is just stuck in there, using orchids and lfs to fill cracks, then star moss to make it nice and green. No peat or additional silicon necessary. Going to do the bottom and sides tonight hopefully. Need to find a pepperomia prostrata to grow up the back
Horrible, I think you should pack it up and mail it to me immediately. Just to get it out of your place. Joking aside, it is beautiful, hope you continue to post pics as work continues.
