superb thread Todd,oh and you get our vote for all vivs 8) Question :what are you using to hold the plants initially? very cool frogs we adore the leg pattern fingers crossed breeding goes well
regards
Stu
Very nice looking frogs!

I've never seen one in person, but really like the white on the feet and legs. The blue pattern on the belly is cool too.

Thanks for posting the pics!
Yeah that was one of the things I loved about this morph and the white really is white.. not a washed out yellow from the cam or anything.. just white LOL
Heres a few more

Todd, what's the lineage info on these ?
Black Jungle line.. I dont know much more than that unfortunately.
The male (Biohazzard) was purchased from Joe Nickerson in 2006 as a sexed sub adult male
The female (Wishbone) was purchased from Alpha Pro in December 2010 as a 6-7 month old possible female.

I need to look further into what gen Biohazzard is. If Black Jungles pairs are WC then this may actually be an F2 or F3 male.
I doubt I could get the gen info for Wishbone tho.

I think I saw this on another forum. Looks fantastic.
Thanx Craig. Yes I have posted this on another forum.

I got another shot of the viv yesterday.

I've gotta say they are gorgeous! And thanks for posting pics, it is great for me as a newbie to be able to see vivs and frogs for ideas as well as eye candy Smile

I am in the first stages of planning my first viv.
I see you leave the sides clear. Are all your vivs this way? I ask because I am wondering if they hold an even temp/humidity as well as one with the GS on 3 sides? Since the GS is insulation maybe it helps stabilize the temps from fluctuations? I see It certainly gives more viewing area.
Personally I have backgrounds on all 3 sides in 1 viv and I dont think it makes a ton of difference.. if anything that tank may be slightly hotter.

I did it once and went thru an obscene amount of silicone and decided it was a waste to do all 3 sides. It takes away floor space and with most of my vivs being 18 " cubes an inch on either side closes in the tank pretty quick.

Is that a pilea or begonia species in the front? (plants with the nice dark leaves)
Both?

The tall stuff with the dark leaves and silver stripe is Pilea 'Silver Tree'
The shorter stuff with the slightly rounder leaves is Begonia 'Abu Dhabi'

Todd
Oh I see it now. They blend well! Thanks.
I believe that is due to the exposure settings I was using. they are quite different in color but that photo came out fairly dark.

Todd
Thanks for those observations Todd, something more to consider in planning my first.
