Hi there all,

I'm Stan (44 yrs old) and I'm new here...
I've been an aquarian ever since childhood till this very day on. But terrarstics had my interest as well over the years. As a child I've kept reptiles and amphibians but there's been an interval of several years that I haven't kept them anymore. About a year and a half ago I've started all over again keeping terrariums. It didn't take too long before I've re-decorated their interiors into paludariums. I've tried some anolises, some lygodactyluses and bombina orientalis besides some poison dart frogs. After a while it just made me decide to just keep the poison dart frogs and the others went to friends of mine where I knew that a good home was guaranteed. At this moment I'm just keeping Epipedobates anthonyi (tricolors), Hyloxalus azureiventris and Phyllobates vittatus. And for sure some other breeds will enter my home very shortly as well... Enough space to offer for some other paludariums. Despite of the fact that tricolors are mentioned being easy starter frogs, to me they still have their own charm and therefore a keeper in my paludariums.
There are also snakeskin endlers and heterandria formosas swimming around the islands I've created. It's a perfect combination!
Glad to be on board over here & we'll see how the interaction will be...

Welcome to Dart Den Stan !

Glad to have you here. You are in Holland now ? If you would ever care to report on the Dutch or E.U dart frog hobby here, you will find an enthralled audience. We are always interested in the European husbandry side of things and all news from over there.

Please take your time to look around and don't hesitate to post often and ask any questions that you may have !

Cheers,

Phil

Nice to meet you Stan, looking forward seeing pics of your set ups!
I think the boys want to see some pics of Dutch Frogs and vivs, Stan !
Hi Stan
Welcome, yes please share some pics. I looked at your website and was impressed w your aquarium tank designs. As has been said, we all appreciate the contributions of the Dutch to various husbandry hobbies over the years (especially us Reefers).

btw - glad to hear another who has the Tricolor on the Top of their fav list.

Hi there Stu,

Sorry for the belated reply. I've already mentioned today in my re-introduction overhere why I haven't answered before...
Yes, I'm aware of the quality of plants that we do have overhere. And the dutch are also known for their scaping qualities in fish tanks and terrariums. I'm trying to do my best to create good biotopes for my fish and amphibians.

Best regards, Stan

Hi there Scott,

Sorry for the belated reply. Like I've told Stu overhere, I've had some unfortunate medical situations this past year and therefore I wasn't replying... My apologies!
Thx for welcoming me and thanks for the compliment regarding my website.
I'm still a great fan of tricolors and of course I still have them overhere...

Ciao, Stan
