Hi all,

I figured I would venture over here and see what I've been missing. About me, I started keeping dart frogs when I was 16 yrs old and working in a reptile store (15 years ago...eek). I had a couple of really bad experiences, mostly with being 16 and not very assertive, some of the old breeders liked to take advantage of that. I stopped keeping frogs for awhile when I was 22, my daughter was just getting old enough to get into things. I bred panther chameleons and geckos for a few years, and then took a break from everything.

Currently I'm an ornamental horticulture student in Orange County. I've worked as a landscape gardener for Disneyland, and did all the propagation for my school greenhouse as an intern. I have a 240 sq foot greenhouse/shade house in my back yard, and 10 large growing tanks in the house solely for the purpose of growing rare plants (currently 230+ species). I keep three species of leaf tail geckos (lineatus, sikorae, and guentheri), helmeted geckos, and namib web foot geckos. I also have some thumbnail dart frogs. My best friend owns a reptile store up the street from me (Reptile Island in Stanton), and I usually help out there at least a couple days a week as well as build the store displays.

That's about all I can think of. I look forward to getting to know everyone here Smile
Welcome Bonnie,

Your'e in a great area for fellow Dart Frog and other exotic animal hobbyists, I believe. My only trip out your way was North to Santa Barbara in the late 80's. Was nice....dry....but nice.

Another fav animal of mine are Geckos. I do like the MAD species as well as the Aussie gecks. Good stuff.

Oh...Chameleons too. 3-4 different species established in SoFl.

Enjoy ! Ask questions....post pics ! Have fun.
