awesome Glenn. Please take some more pics of your frog room. I want to run a cover / POTM shot of your room some time, if that's ok with you.
That would be cool! It'll be done in about 2 years, Phil. JK I'm down to a snails pace here. lol
take a couple pics of whatcha got. I may put your fruit fly rack o' awesomeness pic on the POTM just because it's cool and huge.
Will do, Phil.

Best

Close! The Colbalts are actually bakhuis.
Stu&Shaz Wrote:Glen how do you find the sb's(if i got that right, productive? strong? shy? colour variation in kids is it similar to what you've seen of ours? did they come from UE?
They indeed come from UE and are referred to as Blue/Bronze but I think they're the same thing. They were very shy up until they hit breeding age and now I have to push them out of the way to get to the petri dish. lol They're very variable in colour and pattern. Great frogs!
Stu&Shaz Wrote:viv size around 2' cubes, back at you Glenn what's in the water.
Yep, 24 x 24. Ummm, I'll have to get a count.

Love the Imis, but I like all frogs. Having all that calling adds to the room HUGE. I have some in pairs and some in 2.1 trios. They're in 15" cubes right now and I'm in the process of moving them into 12 x 12 x 18" Zoo Meds. I'm going to pair the ones off that aren't already. The tanks are old and a mess right now...

Cheers
ha nearly, yup sb'=blue/bronze,more of our cross atlantic name malarky, methinks
the liking of so many frogs is my only problem with this hobby Glenn,we have a couple of boxes to tick and then, well we have been mulling over "and then" for months already,
best
Stu
So true, Stu!

Here's a crappy cell phone pic of what I'm working on now. Just a bit of foam on the sides of the top row and they're ready for silicone/coco fibre.

I've got this image in my head.........
"Oh Laura, darling, i'll just knock out 9 vivs before tea,if thats ok "
Seriously glenn when do you hope to have this phase of the build sorted out, going deeper do you intend to move the imis once you go into the down cycle of your breeding year? I've never really contemplated this side of things before,i guess i'm trying to circumvent this really, but its still fascinating to know the thought processes as it could well have implications for our summersi at least, that is if some more real ones can be found here
Stu
wow! that azeurus viv is top of the line! whats the moss on the ground? is it spreading?

Not quite, Stu. It's more like,

When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...When are you going to get those tanks done...Would you stop nagging on me!.When are you going to get those tanks done....When are you going to get those tanks done....When are you going to get those tanks done....When are you going to get those tanks done....When are you going to get those tanks done...Okay already...Tank building begins!! I'm a weeeee bit of a procrastinator... I have to be in the mood too.

They haven't bred a whole lot since I've had them and I'm hoping a move will get them going. I hope to have the vivs up and running in a month. It takes a while for the silicone to cure, but I still like this method.

sidney ferrell Wrote:wow! that azeurus viv is top of the line! whats the moss on the ground? is it spreading?
Thanks! That moss is called blanket moss and it's from UE. It is slowly spreading.

LOL! My two favorite saying are "Slow and steady wins the race" and "Rome wasn't built in a day" Remember those. 8) They come in very handy! It's allll good, Stu!

Started another dozen 18" cubes. These tanks will be very basic and will be for breeding pairs and froglet grow outs.

Great pics and frogs Glenn!
Thanks for sharing.
Hey Glenn, I'm trying the paper plates in the ff cultures. They seem to be working well. Thanks for the tip!!
