I am new to hobby and was looking up care on leucomelas, the care sheet said to provide very shallow water as leucomelas are poor swimmers and will drown. This is all fine and well but I have seen viv setups that housed leucomelas with deep pools of water in it. So now I am confused as to what to think and how to set-up my viv if I decide to obtain leucomelas.

Dart Frogs need ambient humidity and occasional spraying / misting. They do not swim, sit, soak, paddle, enjoy water as many people incorrectly think.
You need a well constructed enclosure. Any sort of pond / pool, isn't necessary.
Okay thank you so much! That definitely set it straight for me. One more thing though, well two I guess. How often do you guys suggest cleaning the vivs? And do you do partial cleans or completes? Also I keep alot of snakes, monitors, lizards and to achieve ambient temps in my enclosures I use heating pads/heat lamps. From what I have seen trolling through some of the posts on here both are not recommended to use in vivs for PDFs. So what is the best way to keep temps stable?
I only have about 10 occupied vivs with non-obligates . But every single viv i have has 'standing water'. It could be a tiny pond or cluster of film cans (no running water ) , but water in each viv. There's no way possible for a tad to be transported and survive without it (not counting a theory I am working on about leaf litter in the wild). I have had tank raised offspring from pretty much every species I own now. I hate pulling eggs.
