I have always wanted Poison Dart Frogs. I was wondering what size Exo Terra Aquarium to get for them. Can the Aquariums be too big or too small?
What are the Dimensions of that?

I have the 12 X 12 X 18 Is that too small?

Is the 36 X 18 X 36 too big?
Not much is 'too big".

12x12x18 is ok too.

Here's your 'rule of thumb'.....you should have '10 gallons per frog", so you are shooting for an exoterra with 2-3 frogs.

There's an 'aquarium' converter here on this site somewhere too - to help you convert dimensions to gallons.
phil. If not much is "to big" how can a medium be best? I dont think they make one that is "to big". also we dont even know what kind of frogs he is interested in so that 12 x12 x18 may not be appropreate. If hes thinking tincs thats not oreanted in the right direction and doesn't provide enough floorspace imo.
I'm at frog day on my razr so my posts may be a little.... Less than great. Feel free to jump in and help here Eric
If you Dont mind dropping the cash the
36 x18x 36 is going to be much better no matter what your planning and how you look at it. It will also give you much more room to work with hardscaping and planting it. any idea of what frogs you are interested
in?

Length x Width x Depth (all in inches) / 231 = Gallons
i would check out tanks from Protean made by Jason. They are comparable to price of exo terras and the eurovent is more attractive than the exo terra black strip on the front of the tanks
