Very cool!!! Ive been looking at some crabs for my unoccupied Dart vivs. Im a big fan of the vampire crabs. I like these costa rican crabs, do you know if they are available anywhere?

I don't know much about crabs (no jokes please) other than one day...some day...I swear I'll use the word 'Crabitat" and have some vivs with them.
I posted these pics for a newly joined hobbyist who is into hermits.

I see that Phil! Thanks for sharing. You have my word I will post a thread soon. Keep your eyes pealed.
Also, I myself have shown some pretty serious interest in Halloween Crabs. Hoping to find some at the Repticon show next month.

Where did you get that Red one ? Is it pacific / asian and how commonly imported are they ?
Are they all in the one enclosure ?

Check out 'Hermitcrabassociation.com'. Although not as awesome as Dartden.com, LOTs of info (screen name Parrohead) 8) . The red crab is part of my reef tank, and is separate from my Crabitat. It's a 'Scarlett hermit Crab' and is a marine species (Paguristes cadenati).
All of my LHC (Land Hermit Crabs) I included in the thread are all in my 75 gallon. I also have a 10 gallon ISO and a 29g Biocube reef.

They are typically a dark purple color but that is a color variant referred to as a 'Pink Indo' ('Indo' short for Indonesian) and are VERY rare. To my knowledge I am one of the few hobbyist that have one
Just above that picture is a typical Indo color, more purple and much darker. Those crabs are about 3" in diameter. I have 7!01-02-2013, 10:30 PM
