Hey everyone, newer to the boards (was on years ago), but not new to the hobby. I started breeding darts back in 98-99 and took a few year hiatus for work and to start a family. Recently returned this year and have been going crazy with the frogs. Here are some I would like to share. Enjoy!
Nice diverse collection ! I'm from PA originally ..
Oh really, where? I am about an hour south of Harrisburg, right on the MD border. Yea I am currently working with Varadero and Chatuza imitators, Several lines of Azureus, Regina, Giant Orange, Matecho, La Fumee, Oyapock tinctorius, Highland Auratus, Vulture Point and Cristobal pumilio. I am setting up tanks for Vanzolini, Isla Popa, and what I am getting next week. I will be sure to post my new acquisitions next week when they arrive.... Blue Jeans Smile Woo-Hoo!
I'm from the HBG area. You are near Todd S - a big plant guy as well as Scott, who owns a bar on the MD border and has a lot of stuff. Also Scott M. from Fredrick MD has about 90 show-case vivs and mainly tincs. You're in a good area.

Also close to Sean Stew (obviously).
Nice shots Josh! Welcome and looking forward to seeing the rest of the collection! Got any shots of those GO's yet? Smile
I have been to Scott M's in Frederick a few times before I left the hobby. He had a lot then lol. And I do go to Sean's of course. Always nice to see that many frogs in one place.
You really need to see Scott now, then. HUGE basement frog room. One of the best.
What I do remember about his basement is that if azureus ever became extinct in the wild, he had enough there to repopulate them lol
Hi Josh, I missed your intro thread. Welcome back! As has been said, you have a great collection with some cool frogs queued up. Keep the pics coming.
Some more random frog pics.
Wow! I love how red those vulture points are. Are they similar to the rio teribles? Good job on tge froglets! Im getting soo many froglets that i dont know what to do! : /
I have not worked with the rios so I can't speak on them. But my male is really fire engine red. The two froglets I have seen in the viv look almost like blue jeans. Not solid like the dad is. My female is a peach metallic color with speckles all over her. She is pretty reclusive though and it is hard to get a picture of her. These are a bit larger than cristos though. Decent sized pumilio
Hey Josh - are these your La Fumee's? They look like a couple of bruisers Smile

Yes they are. Biggest frog I have lol
And king of the mint tank...
And the guy that keeps the frogs safe. Smile
The azureus are having a meeting of the minds

Man they are beasts, look like linemen for the Bears.
They are huge. Females a good bit larger than adult mints. They are beautiful too but a hard frog to work with. They just don't behave like other tincs. I used to question if they were really seperate from matecho but after working with them for a bit, they are much more challenging than matecho are. Anyone having real success with these? I know only 14 were brought in and I haven't seen anyone offering them

Why are they so hard to work with and how is their behavior different then other tincs?
