My male citronella which is about a year old continually approaches the female which is about 10 months old. He faces his rear end toward her and nudges her. Is he trying to mate? I havent heard him call at all. Just curious if that's what they're doing.
Did you just get those a couple days ago ? You're going to have to rely on the truth and honesty of whomever sold you those frogs as 1.1 - it's as simple as that. Did they use the words 'Proven' ect ?

Usually, the FEMALE tinctorious will seek out the male and place a front leg on his back or side. I've never heard of what you are describing.
I got them from Saurian enterprises. He didn't say proven but from what I heard he is a trustworthy person. The one has big toepads, which I'm referring to as the male while the other has smaller toepads.
Patrick is good people, yes.

When possible, post pics of whatever you can. We can assist better with pics. Good side body shots of Tincs are as good if not better than 'toe pad guessing'. No matter what though, it is still gonna be a matter of a percentage guess. Nobody gets sexing 100% - heck 80% + is considered a really good guess. The wait-n-see method is what usually happens.
I think ya just may have a pair. Looks like it to me. Nice colour on that one. I assume the other is nice and yellow, just a bad flash pic.
Yup nice and yellow. He was awesome to buy from. Answered all my questions. I guess the frog was just showing some weird behavior haha. They're all over the tank though. Awesome frogs
