also POY - Picture of the Year (2011 not yet determined)

Originally conceived as a members only vote, I soon realized that the energy to set up and maintain a monthly poll was not going to work. The staff here at Dart Den.com now has an Admin thread where we kabbitz and decide what pic to select - much faster and efficient that way. We MAY transition back to the original idea of a member voting poll in the future...it's possible.

Also

We have the huge namesake thread 'Post your picture of the Month here" as a hopeful repository of pics and we DEFINITELY look here FIRST for our monthly suggestions but we will and have, selected pics from ANY other place located here in the entire Forum. Any pic, anywhere is fair game. That said...again...we do try to look for pics in the POTM thread first.

Hope that clears up some POTM questions.

Starting very soon....there will be multiple POTM's. We have more great submissions lately and I'm going to try and showcase 2 or even 3 pics each month, instead of just one. Gonna give it a try and see how it goes.
We discussed the immediate appeal and marketability of whatever animal graced the cover of Reptiles Magazine that month.

Bill surmised that if it were a Red Eyed Tree Frog, a Hogg Island Boa constrictor or even a Mata Mata - that requests and sales for that particular animal would increase greatly, after debuting on the cover that month.

Interestingly enough, I wonder if Rich is getting more inquires for......Grannies.
