What kind of Plants to use ?

i got a tall tank maybe a 20g tall. i already got some plants and sphagnum mosses, i also want to have a large swampy carnivorous plant one. i have a hexagon tank that is 5g, can i put a blue spotted salamander in the swampy one? also what are the best frogs for the hot humid but not so swampy tank?
