Poll - What is your Quarantine Practice ?

This may be one of the most important things to understand and implement. I am curious as to the different procedures used by everyone.

Rich
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

If tone is more important to you than content, you are at the wrong place.

I tried to add an "E" to the poll, no go. E. would be; "None of the above" "Please explain".
Thanks,
Rich

I assume the fecal vote was you rich. What type of microscope would you recommend for fecals and what are they runnin. I have one right now, let me check the name'Spencer brand and mayb AO is the model. Im not sure, i once posted on DB how do you run a fecal and experiences, not a single reply. Tell me how they are done please, i cant see shipping 4 fecals per frog as possible. Seems like it would get crazy.

Actually I have not voted yet Jace, but I will.
Fecals are best left to a vet, honestly. Reasons being, as posted on Dendro, people with an un-trained eye miss things, people see things and then have no way of IDing them, and the cost of a total set-up for running fecals in cost prohibbitive. There is one guy over there who reports his whole collect clean by his inpsection, but not willing to send any samples to me or an unbiased university to back up this claim. It can be done, but not with any amount of total certaintly. Find a vet you trust and utilise their profession.
Remember, one fecal for a whole tank/tub/whatever, especially if the froglets were kept somewhat communally ( and a lot are), or a tank that has been occupied for any time.
$15 per viv.
Also , I must add that one fecal is often enough to find out what is going on inside your little guys, or at least give you a good idea.
