Anything else you want to see done ?

Suggestions ?

New subforums ?

Ideas ? Different colours ? User features ?

Let us know !

I think we have a very nice visual layout and an easy, user friendly format, but there's always room for improvement.

ohhh....Hillllllllaaaaaarious !!

We have ,and always will have, a 100% real Feedback system. Not a "run it by a review" thing either.

The real deal.

That's kinda better than a reputation system, eh ?

Actually, I think the "thanks" button / system here is a pretty good gauge of who is helpful and accurate.

I think the ability to see the number of posts and the number of times thanked will do that justice.

Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

Phil I like the forum and the way it looks.
The only thing that bothers me is when you go to the forum and click new posts a new window opens.

At first, that bugged me too....but once you get the hang of it, you only have to open one exrta page and then all future navigation comes from that second page and stays on that second page. Only two Dart Den pages needed....it can be done.

Do you think that having a field on the right where a person puts how long they have been in the hobby would work well?

I wondered if that would be one way for us newbies to kind of guage just a little who we are talking to. Or are there too many pitfalls with that sort of thing?

I know it wouldn't help in all cases, for example, Stu comes to mind, who has been in relatively short, but obviously still has a lot of success.

Good question Lisa. I think that a self reported longevity number could be a little misleading - some people would def inflate their number, ect.

I think the "gratitude" list or list of thanks, is a pretty good gauge for helping to decide who has good info and is someone that could be given some trust.

Thanks for saying so !

Hmmm...U.K sales here ? We do have an "UK Thread" already, but I'm a firm believer in local U.K sales being covered by Dendroworld (Brit Frog Forum). They have a good handle on transactions and sales there.

One thing to keep in mind is that some people are after "internet-fame"...so as Phil said, would inflate their experience (years) to seem more in the know. After you have been around the hobby for a little while you get a grasp of who knows his (or her) stuff...and it becomes easier to spot BS. I think the "thanks" option is the best way to judge if you want to follow someone's advice (not fool-proof, but better than a self-reported time in the hobby badge).

Can't really understand why folks would want to inflate there time in the hobby ,but then i just don't get things like that. It is always nice to know whom you are talking to and how long they have been doing this, but even that can be miss leading,an analogy i have worked with builders that have done their job for 30 yrs,and their work is still a pile of crap!!
I agree Phil that dendroworld is a great site and most of the diehard UK dart guys get there, and a good handle on what's availabe here is to be found there. But new guys can find it difficult to get there Phil, initally anyway, that might be reason enough to have UK sales.I have no idea of how many of us,frequent your site, and enjoy the learning here even if you are all on the other side of the pond, but for those coming in to the hobby here uk sales might just be useful, at least until they get to dendroworld.
We've been keeping frogs one year and a day Big Grin ,with a good bit of homework first i've utterly lost count of the amount of times folks here have asked me how do i get on dendroworld and where can i get this or that .
you run a cool ship mate, there isn't alot i'd personally want to change, every now and then i chuck a thanks at ya for bringing us here, one day we might just meet up,but rest asured you'll be buying the beer
back to the isos
cheers

Is it possible that a large portion of the online users are people that leave their computers running with their browsers tuned to the site? How about mobile apps? I know that there are many times I appear online on Facebook only because my phone is doing an automated search for new status updates... I could imagine that tapatalk might have a default setting where it stays logged in to have the most current info available when the app is expanded...

Our "Who is online" is actually set for everyone that's logged on in the past 6-8 hours,I believe. That's why some of the numbers seem 'large". Yes, if you stay logged-in like I do...your SN will be shown in the 'online' block for those hours, until the reset. I may set it to show anyone who's logging in, in the last 24 hours. I see no problem with that.
