Starting a Vivarium

As can be attested by anyone who has been in my frogroom, my vivs look gross. Sort of like this, but with lots of film cans. Picture taken with flash.

Not sure Glenn. I see a fern of some sort, but not sure what the pothos leaf looking ones are.
I do know there were some devil plants (my own name) littered around that exact area (and plenty other areas in the Central America) the first time I was in CR that tore me up. They have pointed leafs and were bushy, so be aware others. They started with a chemical stick to grab my skin, then a chemical burn, then the burns turned into pimple/boil-like bumps which were all over my legs and some on my arms.
I always wear long pants in the jungle now.

That Pothos looking one is the one that caught my eye. I don't use terrestrial plants because most get too big and take up space. That plant looks ideal because it stays sparse and does look like a plant you would see on a forest floor.

I have some philodendron family lace leaf you may have seen when you where over before Frogday that do not go crazy at all like pothos will. They look very similar to the ones in the pic (but with lace-like holes in the leaves) . I think they could pretty easily be found at plant places.

Indeed. Spent much more time on the set up of my new viv, but once the set up is right, I found with my last one it just falls in by itself. Speaking of agressive plants, those look like wandering jew in the pic above. Great pic, but those plants went nuts on me in just a couple weeks. I could probably use them now, but they were taking over the slow growers at the beginning.
