Has anyone ever had a frog die of starvation when not fed for a week or even a month or more with a microfauna population in the viv?
That said I have not.

Let me remind you some frogs like reticulata I never even offered FF until they were 3-4 months oow. There are many factors and reasons for not feeding but an esablished viv in this hobby without a micro fauna population there is no excuse for.

Even without a good microfauna population it should take well over a week for a healthy frog to starve, at least with the larger species. Thumbs may be a different case but I don't know enough to speculate on them. I have had a few big FF crashes and my frogs weathered the shortage without any issues until I had new ones producing.

Darts, even pums, can live weeks without any food. Amphibians put on and take off 'real' weight very slowly, as a whole, all things equal.

Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.
