Hey Chris, can we change the poll to "tested" instead of "treated" . my mistake in writing treated.

Thanks,
Rich
Darts with parasites are analogous to mixed tanks, there are no known benefits to the frogs with either.

I voted yes. All my frogs have had fecals run and been treated.

rich, i figured as much which is why I included the "I have never done fecals option". I assume that if you treat your animals you have had fecals done. But now I understand you might want to take into account people doing "shotgun" treatments.

Hey,
I wasn't talking about the "shotgunning" in this poll. Just testing , yes or no. Prophylactic treatment can be talked about in the other thread. I'll bring up a simple analogy over there.

I actually just mailed out a batch of fecals this week.

I voted yes but have had a clean result come back from Frye, so no other treatment besides a check-up.

I'm trying to find all Polls here and re-name them to include the word "Poll" in the beginning of the Thread Label in order to facilitate and spark participation.

I fecal all of my frogs, 3 clean fecals, plus annually test my collection. I also encourage individuals that purchase my frogs do the same.
IMO well worth it, peace of mind and prevents one aspect of mysterious death or sick frog, when fecaled can assume it was not parasites.

Interesting poll results so far...

As always....all polls here are completely anonymous. I can't even see who voted.

I choose yes, but I haven't done an annual check up like Beth mentioned. I think I'm going to start doing that. The place i use is located in in San Diego, Ca. Pet Hospital of Penasquitos

Man, I cant believe these results.  I guess if you have only one or two groups of frogs it doesn't matter as much as if you have a big collection.  But the bigger my collection gets the more cautious I have become....

All you guys buying WC especially, those should be qt'd and fecaled.  Those have a high-risk of nasties, potentially the kind of stuff that wipes out collections.  Same goes for people that have recently WC stuff in their collections.  Best practice is qt and fecal everything, but at a minimum no WC frog should be unchecked, even when the seller tells you they've already done so...
