1.1 What does it mean ?

I have a feeling it has something to do with the brood generations, but could some one give me a quick tutorial of what the numbers seperated by decimal points means before the species names of peoples individual frogs.

The first number (1) stands for male
The second number (2) stands for females
And the last (3) is for unknown sex

so....

2.4.7 would be 13 total animals of the following sexes :

2 Males
4 Females
7 Unknown sex
